The Environmental Centre for Arab Towns (ECAT), in collaboration with the Arab Urban Development Institute of Saudi Arabia, and with the support of Dubai Municipality, recently organised a workshop entitled ‘Artificial Intelligence (AI) and the Internet of Things (IoT) to Support the Sustainability of Cities’ at the 18th General Conference of the Arab Towns Organisation (ATO) held in Jordan.
Khalid Mohammed Badri, Director of ECAT, said: “AI continues to evolve rapidly and will be an essential part of our daily lives and has enormous potential for economic, social and environmental development. The rapid development of AI, if properly managed by a wise government, can accelerate progress in achieving the Sustainable Development Goals of the United Nations.”
