Dubai Municipality has begun implementing a comprehensive work programme to ensure the cleanliness of desert areas in the emirate through a specialised team equipped with all the equipment and tools necessary.
Eng. Abdulmajeed Saifaie, Director of Waste Management Department, explained that a team has been assigned to follow up the cleaning tasks of desert sites, consisting of 100 cleaning workers, 33 supervisory and control staff, six desert bikes dedicated to cleaning up wild areas and 24 different additional pieces of equipment for transporting and collecting waste.
