A bold shift to solar energy marks a milestone in sustainable interior manufacturing.
Design Infinity, a leader in the UAE’s interior design and fit-out industry, has taken a major step toward a more sustainable future with the installation of a state-of-the-art solar PV system at its joinery facility in Dubai Investment Park. The project, launched in time for Earth Day 2025, highlights the company’s growing investment in clean energy and environmental responsibility.
600 MWh of clean energy produced annually
The factory is now equipped with advanced TENKA N-Type Topcon solar panels from Germany, alongside five high-performance FRONIUS inverters from Austria. The system is expected to generate over 600 MWh of clean electricity annually, reducing the factory’s reliance on traditional power sources by 48%.

Over the next 25 years, this solar initiative is projected to save more than 15,000 MWh of electricity, while preventing the release of over 9,100 tons of CO₂ into the atmosphere. This is equivalent to removing approximately 290 tons of car emissions or planting 179,388 trees.

Geetha Nayak, Managing Partner, added: “Our commitment to sustainability goes beyond words. This solar installation is a tangible step towards reducing our environmental impact and contributing to a greener future. We believe that every effort counts and this is just the beginning of our journey towards energy independence.”
Prakashan M.V, Division Head, emphasized: “The installation of the Solar PV system at our Joinery Factory in Dubai Investment Park is a significant step towards reducing our carbon footprint. This initiative not only demonstrates our commitment to environmental responsibility but also enhances the efficiency and sustainability of our manufacturing processes.”
Sreelesh V.K, Head of MEP at Design Infinity, added: “By harnessing renewable energy, we are not only reducing our reliance on traditional power sources but also setting a new standard for sustainability in the interior design and fit-out industry.”
With a team of more than 1,100 employees, including in-house MEP and IT specialists, Design Infinity operates one of the region’s most comprehensive joinery factories, complete with dedicated divisions for wood, glass, metal, upholstery, and signage. This solar installation reinforces the company’s leadership in driving green innovation across the built environment sector in the UAE.
This solar milestone underscores a wider movement toward environmentally conscious construction practices in the UAE—a vision that aligns perfectly with Earth Day’s mission of investing in our planet.
