Dubai Municipality organised several special events at Al Marmoum Desert Reserve as part of the World Environment Day celebrations. More than 500 people participated in the activities, during which they were given awareness on the significance of reducing carbon emissions and recognising the importance of climate change and its impact on all sectors of the environment, including air, water, and soil.
During the event, the public was introduced to the best ways of disposing of plastic containers and replacing them with packages that can be used more than once to reduce pollution and climate change.
The Municipality also showcased the advantages of its mobile station, which monitors the air. It underlined the most important elements that it measures, and its role in taking measures and procedures to protect the public from pollution.
