Tecno, founded in 1953, is based in Milan, within the historic Porta Garibaldi Excise Buildings, and is renowned as a leader in every aspect of design, from products to interiors, with its success being underpinned through a unique combination of the tailor-made and technology. As well as offering superbly designed furniture, which has evolved through the years to incorporate new work tools and techniques, the company prides itself in its ability to achieve genuine and complete solutions for all of its clients’ custom projects.
From the start, Tecno has combined design and innovation, involving all stages of a project, from the product to the interior design installation, laying the foundations of its success through a union of the culture of craftsmanship and technology.
Dedicated to its ‘global design strategy’, Tecno offers itself as a producer of stylish designer furnishings and, simultaneously, a consultant in the execution of major, customised, turnkey projects. The company was the first to introduce the Internet of Things within office furniture, with io.T The Intelligence of Tecno, in 2015.
Tecno has carried out numerous realisations in the Middle East, validating the brand’s reputation in the region, which has also been bolstered by the recent opening of the Tecno-Dubai hub.
For Human Resource Development Fund, 32 floors of the Olaya Tower in Riyadh have been set up utilizing W80 and W40 partitions in three different heights. These innovative patented partition systems tick all the boxes, creating interior design architecture that is extremely customisable and accessorisable, built to obtain exceptional structural and acoustic performance, as well as being able to host panels in an array of finishes and materials.
The Ministry of Education headquarters in Dubai is furnished with Beta workstations: a system structured like a genuine ‘organism’, created to generate space. Workstations have been selected simply because they have the ability to manage fluid layouts and turn into platforms onto which people carry out individual and collective activities, cultivating the sharing of ideas and information.
In the Kuwait head office of the HSBC bank group, Tecno was chosen as the partner for partition systems. Due to the W80 partition walls, privacy areas and meeting rooms were in fact built within this extensive workspace. Several other projects worth mentioning are National Bank of Kuwait, designed by Foster & Partners, Schlumberger in Kuwait, Bank of Sharjah, Eagle Hills and Square 8 in UAE, and Amlak in Bahrain.
