Dubai Municipality organised an environmental exhibition at its headquarters to mark Earth Day celebrations, which fell on 22nd April.
The exhibition, held under the theme, ‘Protecting the Living Organisms, Our Responsibility’, included paintings that qualified for the final stages of the ‘Go Wild Dubai’ competition, which comprised four different categories: children from 6 to 10 years and 11 to 17 years; adults 18 years and above; and people of determination.
The painting competition received 600 entries and 60 of them qualified for the final stages. The exhibition allowed visitors to the Municipality and staff to vote for their favourite paintings in each category, and the winners will be presented with valuable prizes. The competition aims to encourage Dubai’s eco-tourism and explore the eight nature reserves of the Emirate.
